Great stuff, it really does look a stunner. It could well be the 'newest' BX out there!

Interesting to read about the history of the car too.

Hi Tim,

Its nice to be back, life got complex for a while and cutting out too much internet mucking about and getting on was a bit of a priority im afraid.
Yes the estate is still with us, just sitting about in storage currently, but no reason it wont make a return in the future at some point.

Wheeey cheers for that Defender yep that's her alright! Lucky for me you know this car very very well! I do have the sales article still tho nearly all of the history was 'misplaced' by the previous owner disappointingly :(
The N reg still looks very good indeed, in fact it's my pride however I do use it as a daily driver and I do quite a few miles but she's well serviced by me. In fact I could probably lease a 'successful' persons car for what it costs me haha but hey why drive the same box as everyone else on the M6.
All I've done is add morettes and a tow hitch for my laser dinghy :D oh and there's speedlines and a sunroof deflector but I guess you put those on Mr Defender.

I would like a gti 4x4 tho too, I did neatly buy a light metallic blue one a few years back that looked in great nick but I think it was about £1500 however the fear of catastrophic diff failure put me off!
So 4x4's must be a pretty rare beast nowadays too!

Anyone got one?

Funny you should say that actually Rich,

I had reason to start and move it about 3 days ago so I could get to something else, now bear in mind it hasn't been started or moved for about 18 months.

charged battery attached, two heats of glowplugs, click from solenoid first try, then it un stuck and turned literally half an engine revolution and settled to a nice(if diesel BX) tickover.

It will actually survive the apocalypse Im sure

Sorry to hear he misplaced the history, I actually fitted a tow hitch with hidden discreet wiring plug inside the boot and a removable hitch so you didn't need it on all the time which went with the car. Yes I fitted the graphite Speedlines and SR deflector but I did also sell it on with the original steels and trims.
