1.9 n/a diesel water pump.

Post by cavmad »

Afternoon peeps! Looks like I`m about to acquire another BX, this one is a 1.9 n/a diesel which needs a water pump. Any ideas as to how easy (or difficult!) the job is please and also anyone have a rough idea of the cost of the pump please?
Many thanks in advance,

You might as well do the cambelt at the same time, pumps cost about thirty beer tokens, not too bad a job.

This is one of the few jobs i have done on a BX, a couple of years back but it wasn't that difficult, can't remember the price but i know i got it from Chester Auto Parts who i always find reasonable

Just done a W/P and a belt on the TD today! Took me about 3 hours but mine is a pain as I had to take all the air intake ducting off to get to the starter and altenator. The N/A is an easier beast to work on. You should score the pump and belt for 30 notes from GSF.
