Hi Tim,
Sorry for late reply- I didn't know you'd commented here.
Good to know it's well known! I'm looking for £650.
I've not long spent almost £300 on the full service and it was MOT'd this week and needed exhaust repair and a new brake line. The car will also come with some BX goodies that i've collected along the way, including brand new wing mirrors.

Hi, just to say the car is fully ready for sale now. Any inspection thoroughly welcome, test drives only with proof of insurance.

This car has had anything it's needed over the years, and the service history is an interesting read! According to "How many left?" website, there are only 9 of these on the road now, with a further 11 SORNed.

I hope you have success in finding this lovely car a home; you might want to post it on the BX Club Facebook page, join the Citroen Car Club (UK) closed group and maybe on the X-Section page, not to mention Car & Classic...

Update

Really annoyed that some thieving bastard has today stolen one of the rare wheel trims from the car. I hate thieves. Anyway, just want to get shut of the car so open to offers.

Hi Steve, was wondering if the suspension is in good working order? No leaks or anything?

Suspension works well, rises promptly on start up and stays raised for quite some time after switch off. Has slight drips coming from the area of the control unit at the rear underneath, and has done since I bought it 2.5 yrs ago. I just top up the LHM occasionally.

Has new front discs, pads and wear sensors, put on around 100 miles ago also.

Hello all,
My name is Ian, I live in Ilkeston Derbyshire.
I am new on the site. Yesterday myself and my wife fetched this car from Steve in Southport. I already have an Acadiane Van, which I have owned for 15 years now. Due to on going health problems for my wife we brought a caravan. This was an issue as the Acadiane would not pull it, and turning up in a modern car was not really in the spirit of 2cvgb events, so I commenced looking for a C15 van. As these do not have a very good towing payload, this was also unsuitable. I have owned 2cv's, Diane's, and GSa's but not yet a BX. Any way, we visited Steve the weekend before and made the disission to buy. This week we hooked up a hired car trailer and headed back to Soouthport to collect our new car. Today I spent the day washing it and having a play. The plan is to give it a good service, re-commission the car, and MOT by the end of the month. We then need to find a tow bar and install this (if any one has one for a saloon it would be appreciated) an install electrics. Over the next year the body work will be done, finances permitting. I have not found any serious issues today, so hopefully re-commissioning will not reveal any other problems. Kind regards Ian.

I am glad that this car, which is definitely not a basket case, has found a new home with someone who is keeping the faith.
Welcome to the Club Ian.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Thank you for the welcome.

I will start a blog for this car. It probably won't get updated very often as it is only going to be used as a high days and holiday car.

Regards Ian
