Post by greendale65 »

Got hold of trail blazer but only 2 holes on the back for number plate.
Is this all it is that holds it on?
Thanks.

Wrong one for the ph2 16v I'm afraid - pretty sure that's for cars without tinted lenses.

It'll fit, but it'll look a bit crap.

Mind you, they all do.....

I can imagine that whether a "tail" or blazing a "trail" they are likely to be a source of annoyance to the motorist following behind at night especially to affecting dark adaptation of their eyes on unlit country roads.

They're not actually reflective, so I doubt they'd be an annoyance.

The few that I have seen have been, so do you think they made non reflective styles too? In fact if you look at the photo above it looks if that one has moulded Prismatic/lenticular lenses formed on the rear side to send the beamed light back in the direction from whence it came.

It was actually quite a pricey accessory back in 1989 and the Citroen selling price was £42-07. This was at a time that genuine set of (4) BX wheeltrims could be had for £28-22 from the Citroen Dealer.

I've never seen one that is, personally. The one above looks the same kind of finish as the majority of the rear light lens. There's only one square inside the rear lens that is the reflector, and if it was made entirely from that, you'd give people behind you at night a headache!
