BX Stuff for Sale

Hi All,

I'm clearing out the GT's garage and have some things for sale, all funds will go in the 'GT Improvement Pot'.

A pair of BX steel wheels with dead tyres. I have given them a quick wipe over with a rag and some water so they should clean up better that the photo's but are by no means perfect.


£5 for the pair.

A rear passenger door in white, with no innards or glass - just the skin. Again, I gave it a quick wipe over with a rag so the marks should be improved/removed with a good polish but it isn't perfect.








£10 for the door.

Due to size/weight i'm unwilling to post so either collection from Yeovil, Somerset or I hope to attend the X-Rally so could collect from there (or somewhere between Yeovil and Ancaster, A303/M3/M1/A1(M)/A1).

Could I buy the door please if you could get it to the X rally? Or depending on dates and time I could meet you on the M1 around Lutterworth area when you enroute to Ancaster.

For others, it doesn't look like I will be able to make the X-Rally due to a diary clash. I'm down as a volunteer (only found out i'd volunteered* today) to help pour pints at the Yeovil Beer Festival, and we aren't allowed a beer on the job! Outrageous.

Other items coming up for sale soon include a lovely set of 'TZ' style trims, headlamp protectors, a currently non-working Sharp RG-7250E, new break pads, new inlet manifold, new track rod ends, good used front suspension strut, a NOS citroen heat shield of some sort and radiator top plastic trim.

So it turns out I am coming to the X-Rally - Dean I have PM'd you re the door if you still want it. The next installment of stuff to sell, which I can bring along to the X-Rally.

4 x TZ style trims in almost perfect condition. These have a few tar spots that I haven't gotten around to removing, very very few actual blemsihes, bought off of Tim a while back, who bought them brand new. Looked very lovely on my GT, but decided to revert to original GT trims.

Sharp RG-7250E original fitment radio/cassette player. This woked up until the GT was MOT'd, but hasn't since. Not sure if a fuse was blown or if the unit is dud so selling as untested. Otherwise very tidy, could do with a proper clean - getting in and around all the buttons etc. No wiring included.

Pair of Quinton-Hazell tie/track rods/drop links or whatever they're called! Forgot I had these, should have gone on the GT when Rich sorted all these bits out for me.

Carb inlet manifold, new condition. I assume it's for the XU 19 carbed engine, and maybe 16 too.

Used but good condition genuine citroen strut, moves lovely and freely by hand. Bought off of ebay and advertised as from a low mileage car, certainly looks and feels as such.

Two sets of rear brake pads and a set of front ones (complete with pad wear sensors). One rear pair has some surface rust.

Morning all, more stuff dug out of the garage that has to go! I think* this is it for BX stuff, unless there is more buried. Again, can take to the X-Rally or post.

GTI 16v instrument clsuter. Bought for my TXD Turbo for its temperature guage, so swapped the lamps of doom back into this. It was sold to me as a fully working unit, but i've never tested it. There appears to be some snapped plastic bits at thge back but nothing structural as far as I can see, otherwise clean and tidy.

Rear MK2 light clusters, of two different tints - a blue on the left and not sure of the right one - red tint? In very good condition, red tint cluster has a small crack in the middle red light portion, but it's difficult to see! Seals appear to be fine. I think these came off of my TXD turbo, and a new matched pair went on.

BX Document Wallet for petrol and diesel BX's dated 1989. Lots of books and leaflets present, this acme from my 14TGE. The vinyl has some marks and discolourations but otherwise it's quite smart.

MK1 Upper Speedo Cable, bought this for my GT at a cost of about £50 I think, only to find then end came off! Someone (can't remember who now!) mentioned that it might be fixed with some heat and gentle persuasion, as new condition otherwise.

BX14 Perfomance Package! All you need to boost you 14's power output. Kit contains AX GT (85bhp, pre-91) parts including twin choke carb and inlet manifold, distributor, cap and rotor arm, air filter housing, carb to filter housing connecting piece (BX's single choke carb had a round intake, whereas the twin choke has an oval), ignition amplifier module, HT leads and filter cold air feed/hot air feed module. I amassed this lot for a future 14, but now I have a GT to play with i'm unlikley to have on ein the forseeable.
