The little TU 1.4 is great in the BX. Well done and good luck!

That lovely one is just like mine, a furio-red 14TGE. Its not really a TGE, i don't have power windows nor a powersteering, and no central lock, so its more a "classic". But just as james said, TU3 is performing great in that car. I know that most people who owns XU-powered BX always looking a bit snobish on that BX14 Models, but they underestimate it a lot. Big pro's on TU-models side is, thats a really really lightweight engine, especially the late KDX with an aluminium housing. Plus its a light car at all. I have thrown out my spare wheel and some other unneeded stuff like rear wiper washercontainer and rear headrests, its about 840kg now, and its pretty sporty with that engine that put out much torque at lower rev's. If you keep in mind that this car is a full size 4 door sedan, it comes out very handy and - especially without power steering - much gokart-feeling if you want so.

I drove some BX16 and one 19, so i can compare it, and for me, 14TGE works best because it understates a light car with a small powerful engine at most. BX 19 comes out much heavier with a lot of stuff to carry around, and BX 16 - well, best i can say is, same performance, more consumption and maybe a better topspeed, which is completely irrelevant in my eyes.

So - for 400 qiut it is a pretty nice deal. Dont stuff it up with extras, just keep the engine at best condition, fix rust, and have some fun in corners and at traffic lights. Dont bother to accept a sprint with a 318i Bimmer or a C180 - you can do that, with this one, i am honest. Very much underestimated constellation.
Have fun! (even 14TGE are going rare, so whatever you planned to do, keep it)

I like that red color in the daylight, Cheezypuff. Looks much better than in the night time pics. Are you going to fix it up?
