Help identifying component under dash

Post by frog »

Hi,
I have the dash out at the moment and found this component disconnected.
Seems to be a plastic housing with a resistor open to the air. It has SEIM 26 ROMANS 2 marked on it.

It’s connected to the fan /aircon controller circuit board plugs.

Any ideas? I have reconnected it to a similarl looking spade connector that seemed like it was in the right spot.

Cheers
Chris

Its part of the ventilator fans speed control circuit . Only fitted to aircon cars with two fans wired in parallel. Its not essential IMO as the speed control still works without it connected as you have found out.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.
