If it is nearish Cambridge (start or end point) I can offer a number of a nice guy in my village. It isn't his full time job by any means but he has a soft spot for BX's and might be able to help.

We collected a 480 from Brum way and brought it back to Cambridge very recently.

The BX14 is lovely and perky to drive though. Don't expect it to be a slouch about town.

Agree with james.
Just because it's the smallest engine (even if that is not true, BX11 was sold in greek and spain, and yes its that engine from the AX), its far away from beeing slow and sluggish... as i said many times, i can recommend that engine for several reasons, u get used to it pretty fast. I don't want to swap mine to a larger engine. (i don't know how taxes work in your country, but thats another big plus, when lifted to "EURO2" emission, can't go cheaper)

And i don't know if there are present in the UK but i made very good experience with "uShip", used them 5 times now and never had any problems but benefits (wasn't available one time they came up, and there was no problem to cash later, they just dropped the load and deposit keys in my postbox).

The BX 14 is no better than the 16v around town. A little bit smoother, steering a little heavier (and slower geared) and then you have the fun of having a carb in hot traffic to contend with. I love the BX14, but don't expect it to do the job any better.

The only reason for doing, IMO, would be if you wanted to release the value of the 16v and then buy a 14. The 16v is also a bit more of a magnet (as much as a BX can be!) and if someone bumps it, you'll have a much harder time than with a regular BX. You'd end up quids in to switch, and the 14 is also a bit cheaper to run. But if it's just a toss-up between them simply for what is better suited, then personally I wouldn't bother.
