hotwire

Post by weathley »

Ok so we're stuck without the keys of our citroen bx 1991. we were able to get in thought. We opened the board under the driving wheel in order to hotwire the car, but we can't figure out which of the wires are the battery, ignition and starter wires, anybody has experience with that and could help us figure it out? Needless to say we have the proof of ownership with us etc...

I was in a similar position recently with a barn find Volvo with no keys. Volvo gave me the key code but you may have the code in your car handbook, document pack, etc. I had the keys cut from the code which arrived the next day. I think the key was £10-15.

I was recommended these guys and they didn't disappoint: http://www.alksltd.co.uk/

It was really easy! Good luck.

Don't forget your steering lock will still be on if you hotwire it, why don't you just replace the ignition barrel, it's not a hard job tho a little trickier if you don't have the key.
