Bugger.
I watched Mr Autoglass do mine. The outer rubber trim just peels off, it does not act as a seal. He then used a stepped blade to cut the sealant between the screen and body around the side and the top as BX screens are bonded to the body. He then used a long Stanley knife blade to cut the bottom sealant and the sreen lifted out. Simple I would imagine the hardest part is buying the sealant to refit.

Its pretty easy to do, I watched em do it. Some decent sealant, some suction cups and some cheese wire is all it took.
But I don't think its much more than £50 to go direct to a fitters. I paid about £85 for an AX one, and he said BX tinted's were a similar price.

I've sucessfully removed a bonded windscreen before now using both the "hot knife" technique and the bit-of-1mm-copper-cable-and-a-12v-battery hot-cheese-wire technique. The hot-wire method was definitely easier, as once the wire gets hot (150°C ish) then it just glides through the sealant.
Getting hold of some new goop wasn't too hard either as it comes in skeleton-gun-tubes for about £8 a pop. You do also need some catalyst stuff that you wipe onto the clean surfaces of the metal and glass that allows the bonding goop to work properly.
But it was an awful lot easier to watch a man from RAC windscreens do the last one for me for £50. (and given that a top-shade 405 windscreen is over £200, a damn sight cheaper too!)

Had mine done by a local chap - about £85 all in. No mess or hassle, even takes the old one away and its been ok for 2 years + now. Also came with a 12 month leak warranty so peace of mind.....

Just be carefull with the long knife method, the autoglass guy who did mine in december last year told me that autoglass no longer use the long knife method on the bx as the wiring loom behind the dash can easily be cut with the long knife blade when you cut the glue on the bottom. so just be carefull
