URGENT Rear hoop spoiler

Post by Gareth Wales »

how DO you get at the two a side fixing bolts to remove the spoiler.
Taking the black plastic cover off reveals a very solid looking cover each side. Just had a morning off my other gardening, woodsman duties and thought this was an easy one.
Should have known better, Andre.

Gareth -

UNLESS you really need to remove the spoiler - dont do it
There is a 99% risc that the bolts shear - and the studs are left in the wing - and then its damaged by yout desperate attemps to remove these bolt remainings

How do you think I know

Gareth, its been a while since I had one off, just been to look at mine, ther are some grey grommets, I think theres a fastening behind there and another under the black plastic trim, the last one I removed had been bodged on using self tapping roofing bolt thingies and mastic, good luck.

Gareth,

two fixings to undo each side - a 10mm nut through the grommet hole with a 1/4 extension bar and a DEEP socket, these are difficult to see and even more tricky to replace. The other two are 8mm through the plastic trim as Stewart says.
