Greetings,
I am trying to register my 1990 1.6 petrol BX Image estate with the DVLA.(bought in Nov.2019 on Ebay, Got it MOTed & have the NOVA done)
The V55/5 keeps referring to Certificate of Conformity which I do not have. I have made preliminary contact with the EPA .
Since this scheme seems to start from 1996, would a November 1990 car be exempt from this?
Any help & and vice would be much appreciated.

You shouldn't need a certificate of conformity, but the Citroen Car Club can help with stuff like this.

Is the car imported?

If not, why are you not just applying for a V5 in your name?

The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Yes, it's not a spec that was ever sold over here. I think the Athena is the closest spec to it.

ah okay. well good luck with the registration. I'd suggest giving them a call. They were surprisingly friendly and helpful when I was trying to get the original plates back for a car that had been off road for 20 years

Thank you so much for all your helpful reply, I have since joined the Citroen Car club & has just contacted the DVLA via email. Hope to report some positive progress soon.

Happy outcome.
To day I managed to contact the DVLA via webchat/vehicle ,a very helpful Mary confirm that since my BX is over ten years old,I only need to fill in information I have, the rest of the form can be left blank.
