Citroën BX – XPO – Welding Repair of the Scuttle Pt2

At last, the final scuttle repair can begin. This seems like a simple piece to weld in, but for the next panel to align, it needs to be neat.

Thank Panky, I can't say I'm 100% happy with it as it was a tad rushed. It reportedly wouldn't fit quite right at the other end either, which is annoying as it fit the panel I took it off just fine. Never mind, practice makes perfect!

Citroen BX - FotU 2022 Prep - Fuel Leak

Before I set off to this year's Festival of the Unexceptional, I wanted to trace a fluid leak near the engine. But first, the Citroen BX had a rather major fuel leak! Amazed I even made it.

SPOILER ALERT - I did make it to #FotU last weekend, but it was very touch and go. By 7pm on the Friday before the engine bay content was all over the drive. Enjoy this tale of, erm, miss adventure . . .

After weeks of turmoil with the BX, I wondered if it would even make it to FotU 22. But it did, and the festival was fantastic. After a few weeks' delay, finally, I can regale you with my show experience!

Cheers, it's probably too many words for most people, but makes a very nice change from mind-numbing technical reports.

I've been following your blogged adventures too, sounds like a lot of work going on!
