7 year itch

Post by rutter123 »

Parked up 9th Sep 2015 due to rusty rear axle mounts and inner/outer sills, the 7 year itch got scratched, with a full refurbished rear axle, brakes, all new pipework, replacement fuel tank, lines etc, and approx 6 sq ft of 2.0/1.6/1.0mm steel sheet put in.
Fluids change and a quick fuel bleed off and away it went fired up like it had never been stood for so long.
Booked for mot 9th September just a few small jobs to do

Brilliant work Cliff. They are a labour of love our BXs.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Yes Tim the very same, I think it was up on jacks when you came over a few years back to collect the sunroof, you will see its wearing the spare wheel you donated.
All was well till it pissed out all its fluid somewhere above/around the front subframe (I suspect its a front strut return come adrift) but that's a job for the weekend.
I won't be using it as a daily anymore as I have a van for that.

Boston Classic car show this Sunday 14th I will be there in the DS if anyone is local it's a bigun with 600+ motors
