I think there's a time when if you want something, you want it. It's unlikely one like it will come along anytime soon. It will always have some value. It may increase but if you lose a couple grand having pleasure in return, I think it's worth it. As they say on Bangers, they are only original once. If I wanted one, I would pay it, in part to save the hassle of looking around for ages more.
It's not like you can go and see a few and take your pick 😂
Prefer it to the Lamborghini, like Signor Gandini!

I was about to pull the trigger and pace a bid but it went out of my reach. It's a gorgeous car, I was following it's progress on Instagram and always said that if it came up for sale I would take a shot. Then when the owner decided to sell I was in the process of selling my Mini Cooper but his Insta account was deleted before I could make an offer :( Is it worth it, to me definitely, can I afford it, not a chance.

Honestly, once I saw the weird lights and stuff installed around the clock and the center stack...it turned me off a bit. These "super nice" cars often have such things I've seen.
Though overall it's a really nice car. My choice though will always be a slightly more "used" car which is unmodified and original (with some wear here and there).

Whilst i agree its more than definitely the best Bx ive ever seen. i just dont think i could ever pay that sort of money.
Of course if i was a multi millionaire then it wouldnt matter but i realise im contradicting myself there.
And whilst the mileage is very low for the age its not as if its a mad mileage of only 42,000.
What makes it all the more appealing though in my opinion is the fact that its a used one currently and not a barn find which will take untold time and money to salvage.
I suppose that alone makes for £3500 before the stunning condition and a genuine low ish mileage is also taken in to account.

There is another switch to the right there though so maybe hes put ''air ride'' or something mental on it! haha.

Although there’s a little hyperbole in the advert it does look like a nice and very well looked after car. Depends how rust free it is.

Should we not expect BX values to creep up? I remember that in the 1980s one couldn’t give Ds away, now look at how much they go for.

The alarm lights, and the light above the ventilation controls. I don't really like such intrusive modifications in classic cars. But that's just my opinion on the matter.

I think we should. The entire 80s aesthetic is definitely making a big comeback, and thus cars in that style are mostly on the upward with regards to price. Also, with YouTube and other outlets, more people are learning about classic Citroens, and especially about the unique suspension. The BX is also fairly usable for a classic.
We can already see Digits, GTs, Sports and other more "special" variants shooting up in price. There was a Digit for sale in Germany not too long ago. Sold for 8500 euro within a day.

Not before I get mine hopefully :shock:

The last Digit I saw, a right hand drive one, went through Anglia auctions a few years back for £700, happy days
The TZD finished at £8700 reserve 'nearly' met

Very usable! This time last week mine was in the Alps, was cruising at 130kph on French motorways and today I took a car load of garden waste to the tip be recycled.

Aaahh those were the days. Mine is resting in my garage at the moment. It is playing up. Each time we go out it does a couple of miles and then starts running badly before cutting out altogether. It then refuses to start until it has cooled down overnight. I have had it recovered a couple of times but there is a limit to getting the AA to cooperate before they start charging.
A further complication is my 6 month loss of driving licence following a spell in hospital and I have found that my wife does not enjoy driving a car that keeps breaking down.
Its booked in to my local garage next week so fingers and return hoses crossed that they can find the problem which has eluded me so far.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.
