Just wanted to say hi, I'm a newbie!

I only joined a few days ago, and have been diligently seeking a nice BX. I was in brief contact with a dealership in Austria, but I don't think they were happy dealing with the language barrier as I had to hand write out translations and send them as attachments, plus I'm sure they didn't even want to think about providing paperwork for export shipment or anything else that would cause them to have to lift their finger if you know what I mean. Then I found the perfect car in the Paris area, and then found out that I had to go through a second party to put down a refundable deposit before you could even get the phone number or any contact information with the owner of the car, and even beyond that I was locked out being an American, cuz their system only works for European countries. But shipping a car these days is very very expensive. The main reason that I'm on here this moment is because I'm celebrating the fact that I just put a deposit down on the only BX available in America for sale right now today! I am of semi retirement age, but I still have a gig where I deliver new big trucks out of state, so after a delivery I do down the West Coast next week, I am looking forward to getting my tow vehicle and trailer ready and completely crossing the country and back to bring the girl home! It would be cheaper to have it open shipped, but I will make a vacation trip out of it. I am quite challenged when it comes to electronics, so I will try to see if I can post a picture for you guys. It's not perfect it needs some work but I don't have to fight language barriers or pay exorbitant shipping prices. The car in question is a bx14 tge 1991 it is red, and I think somebody recently repainted it. The badges on the back are in the completely the wrong positions, the Chevron on the front of the hood is upside down!!? And the beltline molding going around a lot of the car looks like it was glued on by a 6-year-old. But it will give me something to do. The red is okay but, I'm thinking a vinyl wrap to a more conservative color. I'm just so excited that I've scored one that I just wanted to share, and this model of Citroen just seems to be such a hit with most car enthusiasts, that is much more special to share this dream with you than it is with any immediate or extended family that does not understand people obsessed with mycar hobby!! Since most people wouldn't have the patience to wait till I could actually figure out how to post pictures, as of right now July 12th, if you go on the internet to look for a BX for sale, you will see that this is the only one available whatsoever in the United States and it's under hemmings and it's in Pennsylvania. Cheerio everyone!! PS: I live out in the country almost exactly halfway between Portland and Seattle and much more identify with the Portland side!

Thank you for the welcome. I was just following the instructions for profile they said that you had to put down every car that you owned. I certainly wasn't trying to show off I'm just a regular guy who doesn't have a wife or any children so all I can say is the money goes a little further and I'm in semi-retirement age with a good driving record so car insurance is as cheap as it's ever going to be for me. If you look closely at the picture of the tail lights I don't really understand the dark shaded out turn signal situation maybe if I was 20 years old I would think that look cool but I would like to have bright turn signals as per normal stock look, so I have literally yesterday ordered two new tail lights.
