BX GTI Hurricane 8v for sale

Post by SimonW »

Hi,
I'd like to sell my BX GTI Hurricane soon and hoped someone here on the forum would be interested before I try elsewhere. I've put together a web page describing the car so please check it out:

http://www.hibs.eclipse.co.uk/bxgti/

In summary it's a late model (registered Aug 1992) 8v GTI Hurricane, just under 101,000 miles on the clock and in overall pretty good condition. Tax and MOT run out at the end of the month.

The main problem with it at the moment is that the radiator fan has currently stopped coming on so I'm not currently driving it around in case I get stuck in traffic jams and it overheats.

I'm selling the car because I only bought it to travel to work during the winter and now the weather's improved I'm back to using my MX-5 every day. I used to own a turbo diesel BX a few years ago and fancied another stint of BX ownership, brought back some great memories!

I'm looking to sell ASAP so no reasonable offer refused! I'm based in Farnham in Surrey but live away in High Wycombe during the week days.

Please contact me via this board or on the email link in the webpage!

Cheers,
Simon.

Hi,
Well I'd like £400 given that other than the fan not working it's a great car, but I'm very open to offers!

Any viewings, extra photos etc please let me know...

Cheers,
Simon.

Bring it to Australia and you have a deal

I'd buy it without a second look, and for 400 or so pounds! What a beautiful car. I love that colour too. You can't get one here for under about 1000 pounds even if you could get the hurricane.

Big problem is that it's on the wrong side of the world :( :(

All the best for selling it.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the replies :o) You know I could drop it off at Southampton docks without any trouble, just need a signature on the V5 :o)

Does anyone have any contacts or other places I could advertise? I'd really like it to go to an enthusiast and am willing to be extremely flexible on the price, I don't really want to have to get it re-MOTd + taxed so time is of the essence!

cheers everyone,
Simon.
