GSF??? What's going on???

Post by Adam »

Does anyone else have trouble with the online ordering? I'm systematically going through my list, adding to the basket, I get to the end and stuff has disappeared, I go back and add it again and other stuff disappears, it's very frustrating and I really want the parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x

Never tried the online ordering trick but have noticed increasingly that either the parts you want are not in stock / no longer available, or they give you the wrong bits, or they seem totally dis-interested when they hear the word BX.
Heathrow seem more switched on than the local branch but I know I'm not alone, my mate runs an independant citroen /pug specialist garage and uses GSF ALOT! The number of bits that arrive that are wrong or take forever to arrive are on the increase. "They just dont listen", his words, not mine.
Still not as bad as the local citroen dealer mind, 3 months to get a VERY expensive autobox for instance. I could have died of old age before that thing arrived!!!
Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Best bet is to CALL the old andy spares number, you then have a 1in5 chance of speaking to one of the ole Andyspares guys and they tend to know there stuff and can tell you what you want before you've even asked!

Actually i dont have the old Andy Spares number anymore but try
02089173970
they've only ever screwed up CV boots for me (sent 6 in total and i still never received the correct one), but on the phone there much better than the website!

Funny that i once ordered 2 sets of pads from GSF and ended up with 8 of the buggers!

COuld you imagine the face of the guy behind the counter if you went to the local factors and asked for just one brake disc?

Speaking of break discs, i get mine from LVW Senar in Birken head who do pretty much only Brembo discs and there always under £20 for every car i've been in there for. Actually my last rear discs came off ebay for £15 delivered and there genuine Cit :D

Did you remember to tell them you have a club discount card?

Brake Engineering on Wrexham Industrial Estate used to be the cheapest by absolutely miles as they recon brake parts and sell new stuff directly to parts companies, probably worth a try if you can get the number from directory of enquiries.
