CCC Meet at Beaulieu

Post by stuart_hedges »

Is anyone else thinking about going to the CCC meet for the Citroen in art exhibition at Beaulieu?

I'm definitely going to go, but I'm trying to make a decision about camping.

I live close enough to go just for the day, but if lots of people are camping the night before I'll do that too, for the fun of it. I'll bring sausages if someone else brings a trangia to cook them on. Who's up for that?

Yep, I plan to take the GT (provided I get a chance to replace a load of return pipes first). I only live just down the road, so it's a day trip for me. Happy to share your sausages at lunchtime though :P... but the only thing I have to cook them on is a rather rusty manifold  .

I saw on the CCC site just now that around 44 cars are coming from various clubs, so should be a pretty respectable turn out.

Anyone else coming?

I'll be there if I can remember when it is! Can't find a citroenian at the mo (the joys of moving house! )
I find the exhaust manifold on a 16v is just right for warming pies. 1 junction on the motorway is perfect for a cheese and onion slice!
The rust adds flavour!
Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Sunday 3 Sept, same day (I believe) as the northern meet :(

CCC Chair, Brian Drummond, asks for prior notice of who's attending but says this isn't essential.

CCC forum link is http://www.citroencarclub.org.uk/PostNu ... 146f15b618 (hope that works!)

It's a daytrip for me too, but I like camping and I thought it might be a good chance for a social evening - those manifold-cooked sausages and a few beers with some like-minded people!

Let me know if you're up for that and I'll decide what to do.

Can't do Brighton but if you could train it to Eastleigh / Southampton area I could give you a lift from there.
