Cheap Car Insurance

Post by MULLEY »

Hi, i currently have fully comp based on an annual mileage of 4k which costs me a staggering £300, does anyone know of any specialists who would be able to offer me a much cheaper deal than this.

I did use the internet to try & get the cheapest deal but having a GTI insurance companies get panicky. I did try getting just TPFT, but found the best deal was FC, how weird?

I did see a forum recently where cheap insurance was mentioned, but cant find it anymore. I dont have any points on my licence either....

Any help or advice gratefully received.... got to cut my costs.....

Cheers

Have you tried http://www.confused.com/? No guarantees but worth a shot. They found me a policy for £120 fully comp with 3k annual mileage and no NCD (2nd car) for the GT.

Andy call my mate on 01159734437 Ian his name is and its Routen Chaplin, hes very cheap and is a good mate of mine, tell him you know me and you should be fine. Bearing in mind Owens 24 with 1 years NCB he was quoting him £400 for a 1.9GTi!

Tell him what price you want to pay £125-£150 which is what I pay and he should be able to match it

I can second Tim's recommendation of Routen Chaplin, they've consistently beaten any online quote since he recommended them to me. Thanks Tim!

Just checked the old insurance & surprise surprise, i think i have previously mentioned in another thread that i was paying £300, well i'm not, it would appear to be a more manageable £240, but i still want it cheaper, so will try as suggested by Tim, sounds like a bargain.

Slight snag, my renewal isnt due til Feb next year, if i cancelled, do they charge a cancellation fee???
