1.7TD Engine....free

Post by BX Bandit »

I don't know the history of this engine but it had head gasket/head problems - coolant in oil. I think the turbo has had it but don't know. There is no injection pump/injectors.
Consider as spares or repair, otherwise I will scrap it

is that the Llantrisant just off the M4 in the caerfilly/Rhonda area? Shame if it is, looking for a td engine to strip and rebuild and there is a Llantrisant in aglesey which is nice and easy to get to unlike the one all the way down there!

Don't suppose anyone is likely to be venturing from that neck of the woods to liverpool/northwest?

IS it just the engine, or with gearbox? Not the N.Wales Llantrisant you're thinking of ,Vanny - this one's home of the loose change in your pocket (Royal Mint)
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

I'm afraid it is the Llantrisant in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area (South, just off M4). There is a 50/50 chance I'll be venturing up to Manchester before the year is out but I can't promise. Let me know what you think, it's in my way so I'm keen to get rid of it.

There is no gearbox - sorry

If there were a gearbox I'd be interested, but sadly not in the engine. Good luck. Amazing how difficult it can be to give something away.....

Aint fussed how bad it is mate.
Since my current engine is less reliable than an electronic preganancy tester, I can strip this one right down and build it up, a la, more power!!!

Except this one I'll be building myself so I know it'll work as I want. Unlike the current motor that was alledgedley reconned by blue riband.. my ar$e!

Thank you good sir!

Cheers
