Five very good Michelin tyres, suit BX...

Post by cavmad »

... I have five excellent condition Michelin (Energy?) tyres here, all matching tread patterns and no visible signs of uneven wear, punctures or damage.
Size is 175-70-14, which I found the ideal size for my BX diesels.
They are currently fitted to some Vauxhall alloy wheels, though could be removed by negotiation or you could strip them off and sell the alloys if you wanted.
Very good tread depths remaining, lots of life left in them. Want £65 for the whole set and don`t forget that`s for 5 so you have a matching spare.
Collection only (can post but it`ll likely cost about £45) from Cheshire, or can bring to the meeting tomorrow if anyone`s interested.

But BX tyres are 165/60 r14 arent they? Still they could make interesting track tyres (with the added benefit of naff all traction in the sideways plane). Couldn't you fit them to the TZD in lieu of an MOT?

They'd be better than the std 165 tyres I'd have thought. They've got naff all grip for the size of car.

175-70-14`s had the best grip of all the tyres I have had on the hatch and the estate, and the estate feels a lot better (a hell of a lot better) on 175`s than the wide alloys and 185-60-14`s currently fitted.

19 petrol non injection bxs have the wider 175 section tyres on them so they would be ok to fit,
