1990 Grey BX 1.7 TZD for sale
Right youorriblelot,
I'm not as skilled with these things as you, and my wife has always cursed me for buying one so it's time to sell.
This car has just failed MOT on Constant Velocity Joint Gaiter split and a loose rear trailing arm. If you think you can fix these it would be a good car for you I believe.
Internally everything is tidy and in good nick. Externally there's a scratch on drivers door and a slight dent on near side front panel. Front fogs are missing.
Engine is sound, it's been a good runner, but you all know that anyway don't you. 4 good tyres, sunroof.
So, there's lot's of parts on this or if you have the know-how you could get it through the MOT again.
The car is in Oxford and I'm asking £200 for it.
I can provide some photos on request.
Regards
Peter

I'm sure there's be room for manoever here as without an MOT you've got the hassle and expense of recovering it. Also - I think this is a general thing at the moment - cars are fetching diddly squat at the mo.

The car looks fine, but I think you have to decide wether you want it to go for scrap or to be repaired and put back on the road.
The repairs are really minimal from what you tell us , but to be honest cars without MOT are worth about £60 on the weigh bridge.
Just like the TZD estate I saw last week, £200 with 9 months MOT but tatty. It had to be worth more in bits.

I've been using a 1990 Citroen XM SEi for my daily Brigthon to London commute the DTR having been taken off road for welding. Its fine, but i miss the BX and hopefully this will do the job..
off topic A trade contact called if I wanted a BX RD estate with 454,000 on the clock!!!! Anyone have a BX which has achieved this sort of mileage????
