Many thanks Mr Bandit, I`ll let you know as I`m not sure exactly what`s happening at the moment. Meanwhile it goes without saying that if anyone takes you up on your very kind offer then let them have the interior.
Incidentally whilst those seats are a bit scratchy they`re also about the most comfortable car seats you could ever wish to sit in!

Sir you need to sit in in a monza seat, they are brill! :D
Although due to the shape trying to increase the carnal score on them is a bit difficult! 8)

Also, sample the seats of a CX Turbo, it's like sitting in an armchair!

docchev - what is this monza interior you keep 'banging' on about???

I must confess, I don't find the itchy scratchy seats too uncomfortable but they feel a bit thin and squidgy - if I lean back too hard I get a large lump just below my shoulder blades. They are too itchy scratchy in the summer/wearing shorts tho'.

I used to work for a company that had a '97 Fiesta as a company car (pathetically cheap skate!) Now those seats were uncomfortable. My neighbour has just got rid of his Fiesta for exactly that reason

Monza seats are the original seats fitted to 16valves (p1 and P2) untill the le mans interior replaced it.
Monza seats are really really comfortable and fully adjustable. You'll see some in the flesh on sunday if I bring the TD, the valver has leather!

Leather seats

Post by Brian King »

How do I get onto this forum? Are jokes compulsory or can I just say I'm interested in the leather seats but don't know where they are. Yes, I know, I'll be told they're on the seat frames etc etc. I meant geographically.

Right-o, a quick update. Firstly an apology, been extremely busy today so not had time to wheel the car out and picture the leather.
In mitigation I`ve been out in the truck with a well known and highly respected member of this forum to rescue another BX (an estate) and then it was my nephew`s 7th birthday party. Prior to that I had to recue another car (a Rover) so all-in-all a very busy day.
I`ll try and get the car out of the garage tomorrow and take pic`s of the interior, apologies once again.
