Towbar looks like it may be a genuine Cit article - why the hell is it badged Turbo though?

Another thing - if you know your getting rid why are they always "serviced last week" - which should really read "wiped over with an oily rag last Tuesday cos I were bored!"

Maybe we should start an off topic thread for `worse thing you did to sell a car`. I have some genuine howlers from my pre-conscience days but there`s no way I`m going first!

Might well be a 19 turbo, some very late ones were fitted I believe.

DVLA site states a new log book was issued in late August. Hmmmm, getting rid so soon..........

This is only the second BX auto turbo I've seen. Not sure about the 19 bit though. Also it does look rather better from the back. Any bets on the finishing price? :)

Cavmad's quite good at this, cheating anyway.

Nah, far too much. £215 AT BEST, any less and I might be tempted myself.
Question mark about number of owners, he's listing it as two former keepers.

I have asked the seller twice for photos from under the bonnet so we can see what is actually under there. He has not responded. Very suspicious. as is 5 keepers, not 2.

Yes but no surprises at that price... I've held on to cars for that length of time too and most of my cars have had more than 5 owners! No reason not to be honest though.

Can you let us know if you get those photos and what your opinion is?

I'm bidding on it anyway, but not a lot. Diesel turbo auto sounds very nice indeed to me.

Where are you guys finding this information on previous owners and so on?

I found a "vehicle check service" on the DVLA website but it's a rate premium phone line.

I bid about a hundred on the diesel auto, but was unwilling to go higher than that for what is basically a fairly scruffy car with no tax...

Try this mate, I think the server is currently down but it usually works no problem...
