UK clearout

I've only been away for just over a week and a quick look on ebay seems to indicate that the whole country is clearing out their BXs.

Do they know something we dont?

Just thinking that myself mate. I do believe there`s no less than 19 cars on there at the mo, not including the estate in the `classic cars section`. I fancy a bid on the GTi side skirts but I reckon they`ll end up at silly money.

Very unfunny money! I don`t know what they`re worth in all honesty but let Jonkw have first refusal if you`re selling them as I`m skint and he`s helped me out (again) today.

Well I can't speak for you guys, but it was on the radio yesterday that the prices for smaller cars has risen by A$1500 on average over the past couple of weeks since the price of fuel skyrocketed.
Our proliferation of wank tanks seems to have suddenly been brought to a stop (which is some good to come out of it as they seemed to cause the high demand in the first place) with things like oldser Land Bruisers and Nissan Potoles selling for as little as $1500 - $2500 which would have made $5000/$6000 a month or so ago.
They might find a market for anything reasonably sized and fuel efficient in which case they won't stay on the market for long if people suddenly wake up to the fact they can get something this cheap with all these attributes. Pity some of these repairers have given them such a bad reputation with all their dodgy antics.

Erm... possibly the catalyst for some of the BXs on UK Ebay (and particularly estates for some reason) was the "Free listing day" for motors on the 15th September? That, and last week's mini-panic on fuel prices before the price-cutters moved in.

Very interested in these. I need at least a headlamp flash switch for the digit, and the Horn switch is a bit iffy too.
