Dont get too broken up Vanny, they are no good as a spare, they dont fit in the carrier, what you need is a proper spare like the one you gave me :D When is your head coming back? (cylinder that is)

one of the BX 16v lot have a normal alloy as a spare, will have to look into how they managed it!

Head is getting picked up tomorrow morning, as per usual with any sort of car place it came in well over budget, 20% over as well so i'll be having words, but i do have the cash so no great loss!

expect pictures tomorrow

I suppose the carrier could be extended a little by cutting and welding a bit in to make it a bit deeper. Still, driving around with one rusty rim and three alloys will prevent me putting off getting that flat tyre fixed :D
If you come across a tidy nearside white wing please let me know.

Check eBay there`s been the odd BX alloy wheel kicking about on there recently and they usually go very cheap.

He had some last time (a few sets actually) I was there Sleepy, give him a bell. Stewart and I both live pretty close so collection shouldn`t be a problem.

Vanny mate, what's the confusion here, is it to do with spare wheels being full size or of the space saver variety....?

The BX's came with 2 different wheel cage sizes apparently, one for space saver, and one for normal - mine is for Normal, hence why I can have a standard 16V allow tucked under the car - which works fine as a spare for my 17's - i just don't go mad when it's on!
