BX 19TRS Estate Interior
I have a complete interior, in grey tweed for a 1989 BX 19TRS Estate, languishing in my shed. It consists of all the seats, in good condition with no tears or wear. Front & Rear Carpets, in good clean condition. Front & Rear Door cards. I also have a set of grey rear headrests, but not in matching material. If you'd like to come & collect it, I would be pleased to pass it on for a small consideration. Please leave me a message on this Forum.

Thanks, I've deleted as you suggested.
The BX Diesel Estate we currently drive we've had for the past 10 years. We bought it when it was just over three years old. We've used the same Citroen specialist to maintain it and it still performs faultlessly. 172,000 mls on the same engine, clutch, injectors and glow-plugs. We're hoping to get 175,000 mls out of the clutch; we'll have to wait and see. It now needs a full set of spheres, a N/S lower ball joint, and I suspect another cambelt. BUT, there's an awful lot of rust in the N/S rear wing. I suspect accident damage before we bought the car, as I can see that there have been repairs to the N/S front door. If it does prove to be too costly to keep going, I'll post on the Forum. We'll be very sad to see the car go, as we've had so much reliable use over the years, to say nothing of the fun of driving around our switchback country roads. It still out-corners almost anything on the road.

This interior will also fit the hatchback, if anyone is wondering. I bought it originally to replace the nylon covered seats in my BX14, but this was involved in an accident, I rescued the interior and replaced the original for the disposal.
I'm in the process of clearing 31years of acquisitions in preparation for a move, so it'll be down to the tip in a couple of weeks if no-one expresses an interest.

Rear wing rust (providing its not 'C' pillar as well) isn't that difficult to deal with as the thing is a single skin, not an inner and outer joined like on a Zx, or rusty Astra or Escrot. - This means that when you attack it you won't find that you have to weld the inner first then think how to join them.

DLM,
Thanks, I'll await news. It would be a pity just to dispose of it.

You've a bit more time to make up your minds chaps, I've just put my back out so the trip to the tip will have to wait. Anyone out there like to come and collect it, and I'll throw in a decent cuppa for the taker. I'm just off the M4 between Junctions 8/9 & 10.

My back has now recovered, and I've got a bit of time off work at the end of the month, so it will be down to the tip with that lovely grey interior, unless someone relieves me of it fairly soon.
Good news on the BX 19TRS Estate front. Passed the MOT with flying colours on Wednesday, after a couple of front spheres and a pair of front discs and pads. So I've got a year to sort-out the rust in the N/S rear, then it'll be Hey Ho for 200,000 miles.

Andrew,
Welcome to the world of BX ownership, be careful, they can be addictive.
I can certainly recommend my specialist, he has been maintaining my car for the last 12 years, and sourced it for me when I was looking for a replacement for my BX14, which had been written off in an accident. He always manages to obtain the parts you need, and will even obtain 2nd hand parts if they are more appropriate.
Citroemech, Eastheath Avenue, Wokingham. Tel 0118 979 4204.
You could also try:
Steve Hill, Penn, Bucks, 01494 714844 (just north of High Wycombe)
You need to take your car to Citroemech, but Steve also runs a mobile service and will come to your home or office as appropriate.
Regards
Barrie.

As no one has expressed a definite interest in the interior (shame!) It'll be down to the council recycling facility (tip) on Friday.
