It's on carzone.ie for €850:

Not too shabby at all...

I thought the TZI was 1.9 only though? The TXI was the end of the line 1.6, no?

Different models for differnt countries, that looks like a GTi with a 1.6 carb engine! the 16 TXS/i models over here werent anywhere near as good spec.

The only problem can see is that, over here, such a smart looking BX appears to be a GTi and it won't have the 'go' of a 1.9. and what about insurance? :?

eBay seller wrote:Speedo reads 65,000 but that's because I had to replace the original after the last NCT/MOT the needle was furiously jumping up and down, it was a hit and miss affair trying to judge what speed you were driving at ! I replaced the Speedo cable first but this did not solve the problem as the Speedo itself was faulty.
I wonder if this could be a case where my paper trick http://bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3836 would have worked. I changed the cable too but it didn't fix the wobble. Since I did the paper trick my speedo has been totally wobble free for several months !

hi there,
when i used to live in dublin i bought a 17 trd with 16vi alloys + interior etc for 100 euro. they are pretty wothless over there. 2 years ago a low milage 16v i think 60 odd k miles went for 500 euro's. that was with 2 years nct and 6 months tax iirc.

Hi rossco,
Is it because of the cost of servicing them ?

I don`t see insurance being a problem as surely if it`s a `genuine` Citroen model then it can be insured easily enough?
