Adam, would you get better money for it on the CCC site rather than ebay? Either way, its a lovely car & it will sell, should easily top £300. Good luck with the sale.

No one in the club interested then?

I would love too but again its the old problems of where to put it. Winters coming and It would have to stand outside and thats not fair on the old girl.

Adamski I would dedinatly advertise it on the CCC website as that may be better. PLus up teh asking price if you do so you can negotiate with their money first!

Ive still got it Mulley. Its currently got a flat battery as has not been started for ages, and has a CX exhaust inside it  It needs another home as its there, MOT'd and TAX'd, and I havent had time to get it ready to ebay. It needs a blimmin good wash and service etc. Come on guys, take it away lol.

I took it for a drive about a week ago, and it felt like an absolute muscle car compared with my C2 company car lol.

Will accept £350 for it. The body should be worth more than that alone.

Come on guys lol. I really have got to get rid of this as im not exactly keeping it running enough and its out in the pouring rain. Will take £275 for it. Three months T+T, all new tyres (hardly used), new backbox etc. Needs, spheres fitting (all included bar one front one that GSF failed to get to the right shop when I collected), New brake pads up front, distributor end camshaft oil seals needs renewing (thats the worse oil leak, and perhaps the only one) Mint interior, mint, rust free body and underside totally solid and never welded. The only weld in a small one on inner front n/s wing, and the garage did a good job of this.

I really can't believe no ones bought this. If I had the space, I would. I've had to think more than 3 times long and hard about whether I'd regret selling the valver for it. I would, I know I would. But its still a tough one.

Just makes me laugh people look and spot at all these sheds on ebay and this beauty comes up and you have problems finding it a home. So rare and special, definately one to take to the shows and feel proud.

I feels sorry that I can't jump in. It is a gem, c'mon someone must be able to help out...

I will ask around.

Could all of the necessary work to get it safe to drive away be done there?

Adam, I have to admit that I'm sorely tempted at this price.

My only concerns are that its a) not as economical as the diesel I'm ideally searching for (but i could live with that); b) not a very long MOT; c) needs a bit of work.

If you could fill me in on a few more details I might be convinced for the right price.

Firstly, how bad are the current spheres? Is the car driveable in its current state?

Also, can I have your honest opinion on its MOT-worthiness? Of course, I won't hold you to it when the time comes but I'd like a rough idea of how easily you reckon it'll go through the test. When is the date the test is due?

Malvern is a reasonably easy place to get to for me, but would you be able to pick me up from a local train station were I to buy the car? If so, when would be convenient for you?

Cheers in advance for your replies.

For some reason, the spheres actually seem OK again now, if a little too smooth and under damped. So thats not an issue. The only cause for long trip driveability is that the brake pad warning lamp is comming on under braking so ill change the pads if it needs to be driven home. The oil leak looks worse than it is, in so far as you can drive to Scotland and back without topping it up, but again, I could see to this before the sale adn replace the oil seal.

MOT wise:

No rust issues, but; the oil leak (as it is) might concern them too much. The nearside driveshaft clicks a bit and sometimes there is a clunk from that area when changing from reverse to forwards and vise versa. The hydraulic fluid needs changing as it is dirty. I cant think of any other issues for the MOT, honestly, but being a car of this age, there probably are some minor issues, but none of them will be rust related, im sure.
