A photoshop request...

Post by Kingswell »

I was wondering what my car would look like with the following modifications. I was wondering if anyone with good photoshop skills could give it a go?

Can anyone put togheter a photoshop image of a red BX with a bonnet scoop and two white viper stripes down the centre.

I know the styling might not be to everyone's taste but I would like to see what it would look like.

I'll give it a go of course but my photoshop skills aren't that good.

I like the stripes, not too sure about the scoop though....

Would you put the stripes on yours?

I think Vanny's brought what I was going to bring to the party - and it confirms my suspicion; don't even think about it!

Look at the reasons stripes were put on cars anyway - there's a historical (often motorsport)-related reason. Best look at the BX or subsequent Citroen motorsport efforts for inspiration. If it's a red BX you need: (apologies to those on the Forum who've seen this old rendering before!):

Phil, you really should change the reflection under the car where it reflects 'BX' off the original plate! Though i still dont know how the hell you can do things like that in PhotoChop, must be a whole hell of a lot of experience (or free time :D ).

I'm surprised that it looks a lot better than expected! But look at most of the cars that have the 'viper stripes' (AC Cobra, Dodge Viper etc) they all have huge surface areas with relatively tiny windows! Makes the stripes look much less broken and more flowing, they just look a little silly on the BX.

The scoop however! That looks LOADS better than i had expected in red, its a little bigger than it should be, and while Mr B is correct i do need some sort of flow over the IC i'm not convinced that the cooby is the way to go!

My intention was never actually to add the stripes and scoop, I simply wanted to see what it would look like.

However the bonnet scoop is starting to sound like a very interesting styling mod..... If I can find one that is a bit discreet.

Has it made a difference Stewart as I'm still toying? As mine has A/C, the condenser gets very hot and I think heats up the I/C air so I bet a scoop would help. Hmmmm.

It helped my estate. Well, helped in as every Barry in town wanted to race me!
Strange thing is though it sort of made the car more funky to drive as looking over it when driving felt sort of cool in a weird way.
