Tailgate wanted.

Post by ken newbold »

Does anyone have a tailgate for a BX (Black would be nice)

My Mum loaned her car to my Bro in law yesterday to bring their christmas tree home in as their X@nt1a was in dock for a paint job.

Just noticed today that somehow they've managed to smash the hinges off the tailgate  The hinge pins are bent almost double but luckily if thats the word, it doesn't seem to have damaged the car itself.

Nice of them to mention this when they returned the car. NOT.

   2 weeks too late I`m afraid Ken. Had one cluttering the garage up for months and chucked it into the back of a scrapper
However I might be able to find another hatchback mate, different colour but I think it`s ok.

I have a grey one off a 16v with intact glass, and 16v spoiler, wiper motor etc, the wires were cute when it was taken off, if you struggle ken its yours gratis if you fetch it. Its been sat outside for 3 months though, but wont have rusted lol

You can pick up your rad aswell!

Usual BXclub spirit applies :D many offers of help for which I'm very grateful.

I may have sourced a black one but won't know for sure until next weekend but if not I'll hopefully take someone up on their kind offer.

Thanks to all for now.

Tim, it's all playful banter. You are the BX Forum's equivalent of David Coleman or Murray Walker... you should feel proud

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

It has been checked, it is working perfectly and as long as he stays on the lily pad he'll be just fine.
