Wanted - radiator top plastic cowling thingy

Not sure exactly what its called, but it sits the length of the radiator on top where the bonnet pole sits & where the radiator is fixed to, to stop it from flexing around & chaffing.

The bit where the radiator attaches to it has been broken off, hence the radiator is moving about & will eventually get damaged....

The same strip on my DTR Turbo (old TZD) has a split in it for about 1/3rd of its length which doesn't seem to be getting any worse but my contingency plan is simply to rivet a strip of aluminium or steel over the split should it be needed.

I would use 3.2 or similar pop type rivets through the aluminium strip and the plastic - with a washer or another strip on the other side. With rivets every 2 or 3 inches each side of the strip I wouldn't expect any further problems. I probably ought to drill a hole at the end of the split to prevent it getting any worse.

I replaced mine with 3mm aluminium checker plate, it is honestly what i had lying around! Looks pretty though
