From looking at the history its had the height correctors adjusted to lower it, yes it looks good but the rides very harsh, even thought Ian fitted 5 new spheres, speed bumps are even worse.

Yep mine was adjusted via the height correctors, transformed the car for me, into something much better.

Each to their own of course, and depends on entirely what you are looking for in your car, but mine is only a weekend toy, I have a hack for the commute, and general tasks.

My BX is for fun, and I found the ride far too soft and rolly polly, also didn't like looking at the sky when accelerating hard ;-)

The ride is pretty firm, speed bumps are not my friend, and I suspect they never will be either

:? My dads got 15 inch alloys on his valver and theres nothing wrong with them they look ok to me. And as for 17 inch i have 17s on my car and the ride is not that bad at all. My bx on 17s is more smoother and comfortable than my escort rs turbo on 15 inch original rims. IMHO the standard bx alloys look crap and the look way to small for the bx when its at normal driving height.

Non-gti cars must be set to a higher ride height then because I don't see much scope for lowering without clouting the exhaust clamp on speed bumps etc. I can take these bumps at speed with no worries, wallow or discomfort and when going over them it always reminds me that this is a major plus of the suspension system. It wouldn't put a smile on my face if the exhaust system got ripped off going over the bumps or cushions!
To see the lack of clamp clearance, you only have to put the suspension down and the bolts will touch the ground.

Yeah I wasn't reffering to the size, my new wheels are 15's.

I just meant the designs are bland. They look really cheap, like something you'd get out of Motorworld.

Not sure where you do most of your driving Tim, but theres no way i can lower any of my cars as its pothole city & absolutely shagged roads & stackloads of speed bumps & this is my daily commute, the mini keeps grounding on the speed bumps, really annoying, just 2mph too fast (i'm only going 10mph anyway) & crunch..... Now the BX, it just takes it in its stride & 30mph.....
