In my experiance enthusiast owned means one of two things..........
1) Just that, owned by an anally retentive anorak and all the better for it.
2) Neglected and abused to high heaven, this moron thinks just because he has utter faith in this marque or model means he can treat it really badly and it will just magically keep working.

For my TGD...a bail of hay as that is what I have found scattered in the knooks and crannies over the almost 10 years I've had the car...I even founds some a couple of weeks back...the car used to be owned by a farmer and considered it more of a Massey Ferg!
For the 16v - and this relates not to the previous owner but to the Citroen Mechanic who fitted the clutch cable - a bloomin haynes manual, a set of eyes and some hands. A thanks to previous owner for what is basically a sounds car at a fair price

hhmm, well for the previous owner of the TD, anything he wants, he's my dad!
For the previous owner of the ambulance, er, as above!
The valver, a course of driving lessons and the number of a good garage.
The coach, a bill for £4000 since thats how much I payed over the odds for it and it was knackered.
Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

To the previous owner of the 16v......I'd send nothing as he got good money for it! Plus I already did him a favour as he asked me to nail it up the road when I drove it away, so he could hear it one last time In fairness, it was as described.
To the previous owner of the Rover.....a polite note explaining that a service book is not a doodle book for your ugly little runt of a child to sketch in, and now I can't piece together exactly what this car has an has not had done. Also, a further note explaining that if the water level keeps dropping in the expansion tank.....keep topping it up!
To previous owner of the estate.....an apology. His wife cried when we drove it away and now I can see why. I'd apologise for selling it to Si who has seems to have done his best to drive it into the floor However, its still going

I must say, I have had nothing but praise for the sellers of my current BXs... (most recent, the estate from Ken, of course!)
As for the black GTi I had - no complaints...
My previous white GTi - I only wish you'd told me you'd used it as a smoking room for 14 years!
My green GTi - no problem...
My (other) white GTi - thanks for buying it back off me after the summer - at a loss
My red GTi - why did you not tell me about the better one you took in the day after (oh I know - you were/are a dealer )
So - never really had cause for complaint - so either I'm lucky or demanding!
What about some BXs that maybe I wish I had considered more seriously?..
That dark blue BX16 that went locally recently... that looked immaculate.
Owen's BX14 TGE... when it was available
A BX diesel auto that was available up in Ken's neck of the woods - don't remember the exact circumstances...
And so on...
