Looks like a job for a 1.9 TD conversion if ever one there was, provided that the car itself is sound.

Aye, come on somebody save this. I wouldn`t worry about that kind of mileage on a petrol car and it woudln`t have got that far unless it was looked after.
Too far away from me (by a long chalk) but as I say I think it deserves saving and it must be a rarity now.
Also white seems to be the most common colour so panels etc (if needed) should be readily available, may even have some here for it.
Tim, appreciate your circumstances but if you buy an estate I`ll bet you end up loving it: theyd rive like a hatchback and the room in the back is amazing, make a good parts chaser as well as anything else.
Bravo, wish I was nearer as I`d buy it and stand it somewhere until I could get it sorted.
I would just add that, with respect, if you are going to scrap it could you reduce the price to a little above the weigh in price to see if someone will take it on?

Look I am sorry to get you all excited but a friend came with his trailer this afternoon to scrap it. It is still in his at his house. We stripped a few things off it but it is still basically in tact, but goes to the breakers tomorrow.

I would have happily taken 100 for it but no one came back to make an offer so I thought you werent interested. However as you can appreciate to MOT it was another thing. Anyway if you can get it tomorrow you can have it free but it now needs more work as we have taken out the steering lock for my P 404 and taken the wheels off for that too. I have the headlights and taillamps at home and the exhaust was knockedoff getting it on the trailer.
As you saw from the photos the car has been looked after and was in very good nick. My mechanic friend who has looked after the car for a long time and specialised in BX and Citroens who collected it said it was the cleanest interior he had seen.
Dam shame but we have a nice clean Saab with leather seats instead now which was a gift.
