Wanted please, some pieces of Citroen plastic

Post by MULLEY »

When i did the side bolsters today on the Gti, it reminded me that i have some of those disc shaped threaded plastic thingies missing which hold the plastic boot sides to the side. I need some for the Gti & the TZD.

Does anyone have 8 please?

Thanks

dont bother, they dont work! You'd actually be more successfull with blu tak, nuts and washers dont work either because there is so much paint on the studs and the studs are not a standard sized thread.

But in answer to your question i MIGHT have a small bag of them, ask next week and i'll dig them out!

Believe it or not, there's 2 types.

One for the hatchback, and one for the Estates. the estate ones are the best and tend not to pull off.

Must empty my pockets before my next visit to the yards. :-$

I noticed on the 4 that i had, 2 in each car that they had a metal circlip thingy on them? is that the difference? if not how can u tell the difference between the estate & hatchback one's?

Only citroen could do this sort of thing, got to laugh....

Its not citroens fault its hueliez or bertone or who ever redesigned the BX to be an estate, as who ever that was was not only a designer but an engineer and realised all of the restrictions of the standard BX rear end and fixed all of them!

Gone are the flimsy side panels with crap screws, gone is the huge drop as you cross from the back bumper into the boot. Gone is the loosely fitted rear carpet, gone are the dents in the boot floor after dropping something heavy (load rails), the estate is actually a MUCH better engineered car than the saloon, even if i prefer the saloon looks, the estate has it where it counts!
