For Sale - Caravans

Post by Vanny »

Bid of a random one this, but i know a few on here caravan and even more have dreams of making a camper van so it might be usefull.

I have 16 caravans going to scrap. I have a couple that are intact and could be reused with a clean, but they all have to be disposed off, specifically they will be stripped and the wood/aluminum recycled. This means that the interiors of the vans (inclusive of electrics etc) are all available.

So if you have need for caravan parts maybe to repair your own, or for the next project (campervan/boat/barge) then please let me know here! There are also things like water containers, chamical toilets, spare wheels, 12v fridges, gas overs, miniature sinks for the garage, swisher units, van steps, cusions and curtains etc you get the idea, send me your requests (something there isn't is mains converters or cables, not a single one!!) (theres a couple of small gas containers but these will be going soon!)

Vanny, you need to find out exactly what makes and models are up there mate.
I think I still have some contacts who might be interested and a couple of forums I know about where they`ll go down a storm.
Failing that I`m sure some sort of explosives could be found and our very own version of Braniacs could be staged?

Hi are any of these in good order - that is dry inside? Road-worthy? I like the look of the larger ones in images 056 and 057. Sprite? looks interesting.

How much?

I might be interested... although I'm actually after a compact 2-berth to convert to extra studio space, a larger one might suit.

most of them are dry inside, problem is quite a lot of them only appear dry inside! There is one in totally mint condition, but years of being dragged round caravan show rooms and adverts with the grandparents has taught me to check everything on them, and unfortunately one of the mint ones the bag end has water in the walls and if coming to bits, and another i kind of ripped the door off a few hours before finally finding the keys! Getting really good at breaking into them though, me and my trusty universal key that is!

When i'm next back on site i'll have a good nose at the two that seem to be in good condition. So far only Three have siezed brakes which is a fair miracle! THough if there is one with a good body and crap brakes i know a recovery man who will probably deliver! :D

Complete caravans are available for drinks tokens, but i'm not actually getting paid for pulling these buggers apart so am making some wages by flogging parts!

Vanny, I'm intrigued; what's the story behind all these caravans??

Cheers,

Mark.

Well, back in the fifties when money was scarce in post war britain, people couldn't afford expensive continental travel so the rise of the caravan came to be!

Oh, hang on, thats not what you meant was it........

Anyway, first the earth cooled, then the dinosaurs came, but they ate too much and got fat, then they died and turned to oil, then the arabs came, and they bought Mercedes Benz's!

Wait a minute, I'm a bit off topic here aren't I???

So anyway, Cadburys Creme Eggs are back!! Come on guys, this is great news!!!!! Right?

Cheers

I could see a 40 foot container being towed at pace behind your SD1 mate, the exhaust note is lovely!

Cheers
