Farewell, Celeste !

Post by cauchoiskev »

Well, I sold my first BX.

Limited edition Calanque (not sold in Britain, I think) TU motor, one previous owner, perfect condition. Never, repeat never let me down. Regrets.

Wasn`t it a St Tropez we saw outside the British Motorcycle museum that time Tim?
I really like the clean look of the sides and the white wheel trims too.

Well, take your pick, Philip :

a) don't have time to look after two BXs properly
b) insurance renewal coming up
c) octopus to be done in the next couple of years
d) I really need the estate for work, and one of the two had to go
e) the price of petrol

but it was a hard decision all the same  .

Yeah, I still scan the small ads... a dirt-cheap rust-free low-mileage diesel estate with blown head-gasket would do nicely thanks !

Me too... last time I saw Celeste the buyer was filling her up. He had junked the original wheel trims in favour of Barry-style jobs :( .

Oh dear well I think its your duty if you see him to inform them that they are worth £120 a set (citroen list price) and see what he says!

He may well know that and have decided the best way of not loosing them is to keep them in a safe place

Nowt worse than spivvy dealer type wheeltrims. Had them on my TZD but now happily replaced by some tasty alloys!

That's a lovely car, and I agree about the St Tropez: they are attractive cars. Shame the one ren16tx and I collected from Kent has had it's clutch go.... :( That's got the potential to be a very nice car!

My eBay Meteor had nasty fake alloys on it when I got it - and I took great satisfaction in binning these and fitting TZD "Z" trims 8) Not original I know, but hey! A Meteor is a bit of a "sheep in wolf's clothing", so why not help it a little more ;)
