My new TZD Turbo! - Update 09/03/07: New Wheels!

Post by capri »

Hi guys,

Well, after a month's searching, I've finally picked up my new BX. I've taken a few photos to celebrate the occasion!

I have to say to Gareth - thank you for a magnificent car, for all the spare parts, and for your unending hospitality. I got home safely (although it took me 8 hours thanks to roadworks on the A34), and the car performed faultlessly all the way. It really is a cracking example. Thanks so much; she will be treasured!

Anyway, to the pics!

I should be seeing this in the flesh shortly :D

Where did you go for the pics mate, the ones by the water? Looks like it must be near Hamble Swanwick or something?

Diggin' the racing sunstrip too

Ironic number plate, it gives the car a name.....URJ= Urge 8)

You just had an urge to get one

One thing I HAVE to get my oar in on.....we HAVE to find you some new wheeltrims  They look like they belong on an Escort

Cracking looking car matey. Agree with Kitch though, forget wheeltrims, Speedline alloys!

I'm honoured, I just had a go in it.

Drives well, very quiet and tight. About as good as tizzydee's get really.

It looks like Thunderbird 2 though; the front end heigh corrector needs adjusting  Rides well but sticks up at the front and blinds people coming the other way at night!

Lovely colour though, very straight car. Except the spoiler, which looks like a fat lass has sat on it.

NEWSFLASH: Outbrakes Lexus IS200's too.

Overall, a big thumbs up! :D

That looks very nice Capri...rekon thats the same colour as my 16v! I do agree on the wheel trim issue...go for originals or as Doc says a set of speedlines. When you coming over then?

Wheres the aerial? If its snapped off get a new base and mast from GSF, there a easy fit but you have to remove the sunroof control panel and need a I think a 10mml long reach socket

Nice car. Wonderful views of the New Forest, and the Hamble oil terminal which is where your supermarket fuel is landed.
