Maybe thats your impression my friend but to some of us that Poor peoples car is not just piece of transport its much more than that ^^bx>

Might agree with you that they are cheap now but then they are 15-20 year old cars. From my prospective haing owned many in the UK and now owning one in New Zealand it is a extravagance. Parts are expensive and rare and so is the make of car! Used Values are far higher than what I would pay in the UK add to that yes I guess I am "poor" with my work and wage status in comparrison to Europe.

Like docchevron1472 say you can not improve on perfection ^^ ^^ ^^bx>
are you living in CZ or not? I guess not... Here's BX cheap very very cheap car , which other car you can buy for 120p?
Bx has two groups of people- poor people or BX fans... :-) the most Bx I see at streets are wrecks, ugly, rusty, damaged wrecks.
this is the problem of buying cheap cars from Germany etc.. the price is getting lower. In UK it can be difficult, because you cannot buy car from DE, IT, AUS etc.... we can and this thing make the price lower, so BX's getting cheaper and that's the reason, why it's car for poor people...

that's biiig pity for BX reputation, because non-servised car has horrible reputation... :-(

Your right I dont live in CZ I am from the UK now living in NZ 8) I guess if you read the reply you qouted you would see that referance?

I dare you to go on a Ferrari forum and say because they drive Fiats that they are "poor people"

Any car that is not looked after becomes a cheap car but I hate that term "Poor people". What one drives does not represent ones wealth or financial status. I class a cheap car as a Bargain 8)

My neighbours probably think I'm poor because we run 2 elderly Citroens and they may be right but am I bothered? We're running a pair of cars that suit us and do what they are expected to do reliably.

When I worked in the cake factory people would often ask why I didn't get a newer car - and I'd always ask them how much they'd spent on getting their better car through the last MOT and what its MPG was - which usually was enough to stop the conversation. If the truth be known none of them could have maintained a elderly Citroen as they wouldn't have known where to start.

If you're going to run an old car you either buy something working with the appropriate test certs etc and run it till something fails and throw it away or run it as a hobby - in which case you spend some money on it because you like it. Your friends may think you are mad - but you think they are mad for wasting their money buying newish younger cars which you don't like.

Ferrari x Fiat? I don;t understand. fiat is not sport's car, and never will be, fiat is something which is dying on RUSTYaise
BTW buy bugatti or PZ and say to ferraries they are loosers :-)

The term Poor people is right. Cars eat money, and when I don;t have money, I'll use the bus.
When someone put instead of LHM some kind of cheap hydraulic oil, because he don't have money. Or why use "distill" water? why? It costs money. And oil? choose the cheapest! Some noname is the best!! It's just an old car...
Do you agree with this? Do you want to buy car, which was cared about like this?

I said that BX own poor people or fans. Most BX in CZ are wreck, and you don't live here, you cannot see how pitiful Bx are here. You have no idea, how's the BX sit. in CZ. BX is almost the most cheapest car, skoda favorit is more expensive (and if you know skoda favorit, you will know, how big shit is this car  ). Bx has bad reputation, bad service, so final customer is guy with 230 pound in pocket, who wants something to destroy :-)

our neighbours think we must be crazy... we had 5 BX infront of our house. now we have just 3... and sometimes.. it will be just my BX and one C5...
One day one of our BX won;t to start... and our neighbour (owner of 2 oooold oooooold mercedeses) was calling: "that's my luck I don;t have french car, I can drive"... that's the problem in CZ, everyone worships german cars.. btw Skoda is german too, so what's not from germany, that's BAD... Golf I, II (rusty ugly pfuj) is more valuable than BX in leahter, with clima, all in elec., because golf is german car...
I don't understand this, I don't feel like poor lady, but my neighbour sees me like poor, because I have old french car.

There appear to be less and less BX's ran daily in the UK by non enthusiasts.

I suspect it wont be that much longer before the only BX's left on the roads will be owned by genuine enthusiasts.

4 years ago i sold a 2 year old Astra SRi that i'd owned from new, prior to that i'd had another brand new car for 2 years. I bought a BX GTi, why you ask??

Because its great fun to drive, rewarding to maintain, comfy, quick, economical and in my obviously warped opinion, a great looking car!

I live on a fairly posh estate. To put that in context, my neighbour currently has a 56 reg Discovery, an 06 reg Range Rover and an 06 Aston Martin. My driveway has a 23 year old Vdub camper, a BX and a 2cv :D I bet i get more fun out of my cars than they do with theirs!
