Guys,
my electric passenger mirror is pretty scuffed/pitted on the outer edge, if you know what I mean, it's the black plastic body that is damaged.
Can I just buy a new mirror 'body' if you like, from a manual one, and swap it over, or would I need to buy a pukka electric one....?
If the former, I may well do both sides, so they are a matching pair
Cheers
Dan

Thankyou Ken & Grace for your replies & kind offers, apologies for the delay in replying, but I haven't logged on here for a couple of weeks or so!
I do indeed frequent, perhaps more than I should, Witmuns, but fingers crossed, I 'shouldn't' be paying a visit down there again this year.
However if you happened to be going down there in the New year, I would greatly appreciate it if you could drop one off - if the body is in good nick.
I have a kind of facelift program planned for the springtime:
New front indicators
New headlights
New numberplates, front & rear
Replacement bumper piping to fill the gap!
And maybe a new wingmirror casing as well, might finish it off nicely
Thanks again
Dan

Hi Timmo,
had occurred ot me mate, but then if I go that route, do I not need to get the door handles done as well.....
I kind of like the black window frames, and the door handles & wing mirrors.
I was also advised that painted door handles, although not what your suggesting, would flake very easily unless they are prepared/sprayed VERY well.
The other option would be the carbon covers that Robin used to have, but I would just go for plain black ones if they existed.
Thanks though, food for thought
