FW11 to BX history?

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Does anybody out there know much about the design produced for Reliant - the FW11 - which, as far as I know, formed the basis for the BX? The reason I ask is that I wondered when the BX was designed: I know when it was launched, but when was it initially penned? It must be around 1980? Any thoughts? After all the 25th anniversay's not far off (but when???)...

I wrote an article about the Fw11 in the Citroenian a few months ago. That was penned in '77 and the BX design as we know it did not become a Citroen until 1979 or '80 as far as I can work out.

Another 2 years to go til the silver anniversary. That's not until September 23rd 2007.

Thanks for that info. I'm a lapsed member of the CCC. I really should rejoin. I think.

BTW Jayboy, do you really have that many Citroens in your collection?
