I must be MAD!

Post by Ian_Fearn »

For all of you who know me i've finally gone and done it and bought the BX of my dreams.....

A 1991 immaculate black GTi 4x4.

I bought it on saturday morning in London, drove it to Bury St Edmonds and back to Derby and i'm still smiling (MASSIVE GRIN!!!) :D

Its had thousands spent on it. Somewhere in the region of 5 grand pretty recently. New engine fitted by Citroen, new transfer box, spline shaft etc etc etc.

Its the one that was on ebay recently although i managed to get it for a substantial reduction on the Ebay reserve price.

Mad or not, hope it gives you as much pleasure as the previous owner's expenditure seems to warrant!

in the words of Andy 'Want that one!'

The rate the shed is going i might have to go looking for a new BX soon, and how nice a 4x4 would be!

Think you might get it on a track??

Marty? MARTY??!!! This man needs a strait jacket, quick! :P

Seriously, nice looking car Ian. I always fancied a 4x4, but 20k / year just wouldn't be fair to it (or my wallet) so it will have to remain a fancy...

Enjoy it!!!
I NEED a BX TD.

Oh tell me about it  - he (Vanny) has a lovely red BX, all it needs is a decent ruddy engine - and now he is talking of binning it for a 4x4!

Rubber wallpaper on order, special jacket in the boot of the ZX, Im on my way......

Whatever floats your boat Ian.

Seriously though, you do right, if its what you want and you can afford it, DO IT. We only come this way once, make the most of it, enjoy it.

I wish I was as brave as you.
