Update!!!!!!
Well this is my best BX buy so far, Im amazed at how good this car is, the guy who sold it is a Citroen enthusiast who bought it in January to tide him over but now has a new company car. He paid £90 for 2 new Michelin tyres just 2 weeks ago then sold the car on ebay for £40! Go figure?
The good bits: The car drives stunningly well I think and puts my 16v to shame for comfort quietness and general all round "tightness", but after only doing 65000 miles it should have, 13000 of these have been done in the past 10 months since the original owner sold. Everything works bar the heater control and besides a oil leak from the rocker cover and a bsuted washer pipe theres not much that needs doing. Theres no rust anywhere, bootfloor inner wings etc and theres a recent whole new exhaust.
The bad bits: Its was filthy! And I mean caked! From what I can gather the original and caring owner had it for 12 years and clocked up about 50000 miles then sold it in June 06, since then its had 4 owners! Adding a further 15000 miles and looks as its never been washed or vacuumed since (until today), and has been used as a builders van/4 wheeled ashtray and a kennel, sadly adding a few cigarette burns to the lovely velour upholstry. The body work although having a deep lustre since I t-cutted and polished it has quite a few bumps, bangs and scrathes, the worst was the rear bumper being pushed in and touching the incorrectly fitted rear silencer which managed to melt a small hole. However Ive been daring and removed the bumper and the rear and middle box and mounted them all correctly, yes me! And its all sorted.
Im going to touch up the chips and scracthes and get the dent man to see what he do and then show it off at the camping rally!

Had a mini service today, oil and filter plus plugs and air filter and fitted a new rocker cover gasket and was given "the once over" to see if everything checks out. Fully steam cleaned the engine and under the arches and theres no rust to be found!
Found 2 things that need attending to, the T piece on top of the LHM reservoir is busted (anyone got a spare please?) and one of the strut return pipes is perished and thats it.
