I reckon you might be able to improvise a new T-piece... hmmm... seeing as the hoses are about as thin as windscreen washer tubing... I'm sure if you had a look around, there are plenty of sources of plastic T-pieces, rather than rubber, and you could insert the two hoses using little O-rings to seal them.... Just thinking off the top of my head here!
Or else, you *could* do what my Cit garage did to my old Meteor. Ditch the T-piece, cut two holes in the black LHM cap, and insert the hoses therein.
Proper BX t-pieces are rare now I think - or so I recall! Did any other e.g. Xantia/XM have a similar arrangement?
Mark.
P.S. I look forward to seeing this Athena alongside Phil's new 16 Auto at the BX Challenge Make it so!
I've probably got one Tim, but you've dealt with me before so i wouldn't hold your breath, pester me, then pester some more, you know i'll deliver in the end.
Guys Im going to have to move this car on although I dont want too as Ive found that my 16v needs welding on the inner wings and boot floor plus a few bits and bobs which means I need money! (oh and the tax is due too )
Anyone after a mechanically spot on BX with low miles which has just had a service and 2 new front tyres then let me know. No rust (unlike my 16V) but has a few dents and scratched which I will be attending to the worst ones off this week.
Only fault I know off is a strut return pipe has perished and the heater control is seized on.
MOTed until the end of June. Any inspection welcome.
