1.9 litre apparently, not the sport TZD we know

As were all part of the european union, what to stop anyone driving over to france and buying a French BX and driving it home? Just a thought as theres alot more to choose from over there and whats the regulations regarding servicing etc?

Theres nothing to stop you buying a car in France and bringing back to Britain, although you'll have to pay import tax to our friends at HM treasury.....b*s*ards!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Right. The engine has been changed. Is it a 1.9? Doubt it. If it is, then it won't be a Turbo. He states it is 90HP which means Turbo 1.7. I don't think it is a 1.9.

Buy one in France? No. Just see what the going price is for BXs over there and count yourselves lucky!

It was a percentage of the cost. But things may have changed since 2000??

It's fairly easy to convert a LHD BX to RHD. And indeed, theres a much better selection of cars over there, but BX prices in France are appreciably higher than they are here, add to that the import tax, and registering it on english plates, and it gets even more expensive....

I've seen a few 19TD's in France and they are factory not conversion jobs. I followed an estate into Paris last year and I couldn't keep up with it!

But how do you insure a car that doesn't have an MOT or UK tax unless you get insurance from a French company etc. etc. And how do you get insurance from a French company if you don't live there (anymore even)... Am I just being daft or is it a Catch 22?
