WANTED: BX Diesel Auto

Post by Ian_Fearn »

Righto chaps, i'm after good BX diesel auto. Condition is of the utmost importance so i'm happy to wait. I know they're a bit rare but they do seem to crop up from time to time.

I'm hoping to push the GTi on until after our big trip to Norway. I'll be back from late June so i'd like to have something in the pipeline for around that time.

So if anybody has or knows of a very nice diesel auto then please get in touch. Am prepared to pay good money for the right car, not something thats been sat in a field for 3 years or a completely unknown quantity with no MOT (sorry for being fussy but i've been there, done that!)

Before anybody asks the insurance companies arent keen on an 'engine modified' GTi with a diesel engine.

Cheers, Ian

I'm very happy with mine for the moment but I'll let you know if ever I do want to move it on... Not the nicest one to look at but very sound mechanically.

If you found a Mk 1 diesel... actually pretty much any Mk 1 in similar condition I'd swap!

Would be interested to see some better photos.

Red isnt a good colour for a BX (or any older car for that matter). The TZD is red and goes orange/pink within a week of polishing it.

I think i've decided i (she) wants a 'TX' model or meteor as we far prefer the black interior.

Dad might part with his Turbo auto for about £10,000,000 mate, alot of money, but you wont ever get a better one!

Failing that, I'll keep my eye's open, for ya!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Thats a manual Phil, if you read further down, plus they didnt make a diesel auto estate iirc.

He says it might be an auto - and the description at the beginning says it is - and yes, you are right - it says manual further down.

:? :? :? :?

But I understand Tim, I guess they didn't do an auto TXD estate

What a crap listing!
Apparantley it also has drivres air bag, cat, alloys, etc. I bet it doesn't.
It's probably not a BX at all!

Another fine example of how not to sell a car on the bay

Whilst a TD would be nice, she's told me she doesn't want to go fast so a normal diesel will happily do!

I still want a nice one though :D
