Why not go for the 2tone ones red with grey top, make it look like a TZD.
Local yard has front one of these in, having said that, there is a red TXD in a yard in leeds, but cant remember what bumpers are like.
If I get chance I'll have a look this week, you might be lucky as this is the cheapest scrapyard in the world.

They think it's all over, it is now!

I used to have a Red '87 GTi which was severely let down by its pink, faded bumpers. The dimple texture wasn't a problem for me but it pretty much disappeared under coat, after coat, after coat of red paint! Virtually no prep, just sprayed a coat of primer first...
Ended up much glossier than the car (:oI so I got out a trusty bottle of T-cut and it ended up looking great.
Did the same to my red Visa too (now sold)...

There are some really tenacious primers out there, I was in B&Q and I think International Paints do a plastic primer. I think if you put a couple of coats of something like that on, followed by a car paint primer and a few coats of colour, topped off with some lacquer even, I think the results will be fine. I'd experiment on a bit, but it is in my nature really to think about it a bit and then jump in with both feet! (Not always the best idea).
Now I remember, I wiped the old faded bumpers down with lighter fuel or white spirit (can't remember) to degrease them first.
And I used paint from aerosol cans, on a nice sunny day, in the grounds of a disused hospital! Ahh, those were the days... (or is that the fumes talking?).
