Quick tosh

Post by toddao »

After many months trying to find a colour match for the mystery yellow which has puzzled all local spray shops and created several wrong mixes of interesting shades.. along comes the walking colour chart. Didn't actually meet the bloke but part of the BX ( one of the rear arch trims) was posted through his letter box and it came back with paint name and code :
Saffron Yellow. Still couldn't find it after looking in all car spares shops. Then he tells me to look in the household paint section in the DIY store. There it is! It's basically a German Dulux - an acrylic for painting wood and metal. Well it's certainly original and cheap! Looks alright too :

The BX is fine apart from a leaking radiator. Did I give the impression that I'd ridded myself of it..? It's my obsession!

Tim, I get it now! All that yellow.. bit slow this evening after a few sharpeners 8) Didn't you also make that reference to 'Yello' the band a few weeks back? As Mark Twain said : In Germany humour is no laughing matter . They're not bad at this though beers beers
